My first collaboration with rittmo' (Richard Blum).
I've posted my instrumental "The Land Of Robots" on Songramp and Richard sent me PM:
"Hi Nadia,
Hope you don't mind, I had a little lyrical fun with your Land Of Robots song. The results can be found in my PLR...
Thank You
rittmo'"
This was an amazing surprise to me and I instantly loved Richard's lyric and later his recital.

Music by Nadia Cripps
Words by Richard Blum (rittmo)
a drop of oil behind the ears
as I summon up the courage
a little more grease for my gears
it gets heavy carrying all this metal luggage
now that I'm squeaky clean
a machine amongst machines
will you take this tin can
to be your lawfully wedded man
I'm programmed to please
say God bless when you sneeze
iron each and every crease
I'm on bended knees
did you say no way jose
sorry that does not compute
my joints are getting pointed
how could you refuse my refuse
oh I see you're programmed to tease
you really didn't mean it
is that a yes I hear
I'm shaking so, I'll be all nuts and bolts in a minute
a clink of glasses
a toast to being rust free
and the clang, clang, clang
of eternity

'Today'
© 2010 Music Nadia Cripps, Lyrics by Richard Blum (rittmo')
Piano by Nadia Cripps, Recital by Richard Blum (rittmo')
here in my heart what I own
is worth more than a precious stone
all the diamonds in all all the mines
don't have the luster or the shine
of what I've found in this heart of mine
and I care so much to share, so I say to you
if all the floating hours, in the history of time
could come together for just one minute
and breathe in the Majesty, then most magically
you will see His arms in the clouds
His palms wide open
and you will come to realize
today and everyday
He's giving His love away
yeah it's true
today and everyday
He's giving His love away
to me and you!

Forever And Always © 2012 by Nadia Cripps (music) and Richard Blum/rittmo (lyric). Keyboard by Nadia Cripps, recital by rittmo.
forever is a long long time
and I wouldn't promise it
unless I was sure our flame would never die
and that our fire would only grow higher
always is a collection the future knows well
and though some say never can tell
there's the unforgettable aroma of autumn leaves
their burning embers which leads me to believe
we will forever be falling in love
one plus one equals us
we will forever be falling in love

I Dream Of Christmas © 2003, 2011 by Nadia Cripps and rittmo'
Keyboard composition by Nadia Cripps, words and vocal rittmo'
I Dream Of Christmas
-
when I dream of Christmas
it's not the Christmas tree
though I love the Christmas tree
it's not the children
but they're all so pretty
and I love them too
it's not the presents we give
though the unwrapping
is so much fun
what I love most about Christmas
is when day is done
is to lie alone with you
with an exhausted smile,
a sigh, and a love so true

'Essense Of Christmas' Copyright© 2010
Music (Dancing Snow), piano by Nadia Cripps, words, reading by Richard Blum (rittmo')
snow on a tuesday morning
came with no warning
I said it feels like Christmas
and sure enough
the calender on the wall
said it was time
to deck the halls
-
here in my retreat
it's easy to lose track of time
but looking at the whitening pines
even I could see
reindeer outlining the clouds
and for the child in me
that's what Christmas
is all about
-
imagination running wild
giving off the widest of smiles
the gift of Christmas creativity
is my most cherished reality
-
me and my beau
celebrating mistletoe
a cabin in the woods
everything better than good
-
the whole world unwrapping presents
isn't that the essense of Christmas
-
here in my retreat
it's easy to lose track of time
but looking at the whitening pines
even I could see
reindeer outlining the clouds
and for the child in me
that's what Christmas
is all about
-
imagination running wild
giving off the widest of smiles
the gift of Christmas creativity
is my most cherished reality

You Ask (Feeling Romantic)

Lyrics by Rittmo

you ask, where are we going
we've never travelled this way before
be patient my sweet, it's a secret hideaway
in the great north woods, with a fireplace
with any luck, we'll be snowed in
don't be scared I've come prepared
the trunk is full of valentine goodies
wine, white chocolate, peaches and pears
you ask, when did you become so romantic
though I'm not sure if I should ruin the surprise
it should come as no surprise at all
I became enchanted, first time I looked into your eyes
gray clouds are foming
there's winter in the air
soon snow will be falling
and the flames will be calling
for us to get cozy and warm
staying clear of all harm
gently riding out the storm
in each others arms
you ask, how much longer till we arrive
in a moment, I'll be pulling up to the drive
we park, and it's a little while
before we enter the cabin, full of smiles

Our Fairy Tale
© 2012 Nadia Cripps (music) and Rittmo' / Richard Blum (lyrics).
Piano by Nadia Cripps, recital by Rittmo'
I can't predict the future
but I was thinking
if I could suture the horizon
to my liking, place the clouds
where I wanted them, the sun
teetering on a ledge of a
wondrously blue sky
then maybe i could place you
in my fairy tale
and on the back of kites
we could go sailing
or we could jump from
puffy puff, to puffy puff
floating in our fairy tale
and as the sun goes down
we'll do cartwheels
and turn ourselves into stars
twinkling down on the merry hearts
me and you, space twirling
upon a lover's trail
in our very own fairy tale!

14th of Spring © 2012 by Nadia Cripps (music) and rittmo (lyrics). Piano by Nadia Cripps, Recital by Rittmo'.
words rittmo'
Fourteenth Of Spring
on the fourteenth of spring
be it april may or june
a young girl dreams and swoons
about a man who will be her everything
in one sequence a top hat and a cane
and he's all at once her magician
swans fly, while flamingos bathe
she's a rampant tigress in his cage
in another scene an artist and his canvas
her silohuette on a hillside his sole trespass
he whispers, sweetheart, come a little closer
hold that pose, in another life we were surely lovers
in the final chapter, a boy with holes in his shoes
says if you look you'll see a million shades of blue
and big beautiful clouds, that blossom with the passing of time
on this fourteenth of spring, will you be my valentine

For You My Love
Copyright Music © 2012 by Nadia Cripps (music) and rittmo' (words&vocal). Piano played by Nadia Cripps.
night sky, soft pillowy clouds
a familiar face in the crowd
snow capped mountain tops
rainbow bubbles, blown and popped
are a few of the things
I bring for you my love
if I may
on this valentines day
a master key to open every heart
a hint of sunlight, even in the dark
a special smile that abides deep inside
an extra tear for when you have cried
are a few of the things
I bring for you my love
if I may
on this valentines day
the sweet harmony, of a street corner serenade
children on a stoop, selling lemonade
a ballbark, rooting for the home team
a pocket book made from pieces of dreams
are a few of the things
I bring for you my love
if I may
on this valentines day

Aliens In Love
Copyright© 2011
Music/piano - Nadia Cripps
Lyrics - Richard Blum/Rittmo'
Vocals/synth - Michael Karns
if I was to pose the question
by what measure, do we endeavor
to conclude that love is a treasure
only to be found in the human condition
how have we arrived at this lofty posion
-
if I were to pose the question
do aliens fall in love
by way of odd suggestion
you might imply, I was on drugs
-
if I was to pose the question
would not a swan give a lesson
feathers fluttering oh so gleefully
oh how unique love can be
like aliens in a sensual session
if I were to pose the question

-
without umbrella, we walked in the summer rain
I don't remember getting wet
love has a way of vanguishing all pain
making laughter out of all of our regrets
-
summer rain so full of song
summer rain we could do no wrong
summer rain always on our minds
summer rain, your morning glories
are a climbing vine
-
we rose to every occassion
as if time was waiting for us
to summer rain, a toast I'm raising
to our never ending, ongoing love

Separate Ways © 2011-2013 by Rittmo' / Richard Blum (lyrics) and Nadia Cripps (music). Vocals by Michael Karns, Piano by Nadia Cripps. Demo by Nadia Cripps and Michael Karns
to remember sadness
the outrage the madness
the words said, as if in passing
so much for ever lasting
head bowed, what was that
excuse me c'mon take that back
am I hearing things again,
oh no not the line about friends
can we go our separate ways
say goodbye to our special days
stomp out the spark, once and for all
let new actors adorn the stage
may as well get a license for a parade
play that trumpet till the moon fades away
I guess time will wink and grin
love is a game, very few can win
so wave your hand and blow a kiss
cause sometimes when you bet on a wish
can we go our separate ways
say goodbye to our special days
stomp out the spark, once and for all
let new actors adorn the stage

Enchanted Forest
Copyright© 2011 by Nadia Cripps (music, piano), Michael Karns/JamKar (guitar, vocals, remix)and Richard Blum/rittmo (lyrics).
sun golden leaves adorn the trees
with veins of red
a light rain falls on the seedlings
bringing peace
to the enchanted forest of our dreams
where you and I hum the melody
of singing birds, and the wind
of softly whispering memories
midnight eyes that gently arise
in the morning of love and mystery
the sound of mesmorising sighs
and the warmth your kiss gives to me
while the forest animals busy themselves with their daily chores
our enchanted hearts cry out for more
chipmunks, badgers, and raccoons, making a music all their own
in the enchanted forest that we call home
sun golden leaves adorn the trees
with veins of red
a light rain falls on the seedlings
bringing peace
to the enchanted forest of our dreams

Halloween Party
it's a halloween party
for all the freaks
ghosts, ghouls,, goblins
vampires, werewolfs,
warlocks and witches
and it's a game of who can spook who
boo, boo, boo, ...boo boo
first one that flinches
gets whisked out into the light
ain't that a fright
first one that flinches
gets whisked out into the light
ain't that a fright
boo, boo, boo, ...boo boo

This Is The Music Of Our Lives
Copyright© 2011 by Nadia Cirpps (music, piano) and Richard Blum (rittmo') (lyrics, vocals).
I took my piano to the local honky tonk
people were eating and they began to talk
what are you doing playing that classical junk
I told them to stop their picking with their forks and knives
this is the music of our lives
Bethoven, Brahms, Shubert and Mozart
made the chords that built this great land
so whether you're being served straight or alla carte
kick off your boots, and try to realize
this is the music of our lives
there's the grit of America in these keys
and our cousins in Britain, Spain, and France
and all of Asia, Antartica and Africa
good folks who know a music box holds a prize
this is the music of our lives
this is the music of our lives
this is the music of our lives

Richard was and will always be a great inspiration to us. Richard could compose poems and lyrics to virtually any subject, any genre of music. He was always inspired and inspiring and it was a great pleasure, joy and honour to collaborate with him.
I have been collaborating with Richard from 2010 and in all this time never once did he ask me to change/re-record/redo anything I've sent to him for collaborations. Sometimes he'd create lyrics to my instrumentals, sometimes I'd compose music to his lyrics. He was a fantastic collaborator, very supportive, with good sense of humour and amazing way with the words. Richard was always happy with different collaborations on the same lyric/music, he was always loyal, democratic, understanding and kind. Richard will always live in his beautiful lyrics, collaborations, comments, recitals, in memories of his friends and I'm sure everyone who had this wonderful chance to collaborate with him considers him/herself to be Richard's friend.
Thank you to everyone for listening.
