Crying Daisy (A Story in Song)

Oh, once upon a time
in a village
a widow walked alone
on a rainy day
the tears fell from her face
she hides in the rain
she hides from the pain

but not today

The widow found a daisy
with snow white petals
so pure
sunshine pushing through the sidewalk cracks
she cries
knowing
this is her soulmate saying, "hi"
"Hi".

She picks the daisy from its concrete prison
places it at home within vision
of his seat at the table
in a vase of multi-colors
so beautiful
as she wonders, how did he know?
That she misses him so
As she hides in the pain
oh she hides from the pain
she hides in the rain
but not today

because before the daisy withers
the widow takes it aside
to place it in his favorite book to dry
and frames it on the wall
above her piano
where she creates the most
BEAUTIFUL songs for him
to say "hi"

Once upon a time there were two people. They lived in different countries but one day a woman came to London and she met her prince charming. They became friends and then they got married. They could have lived happily ever after if her prince later didn't pass away. His widow is walking alone on a rainy day. Her tears are difficult to see because the rain hides them. She looks on the ground and there is a daisy covered in rain, just like her tears. She picks the daisy and holds it next to her heart. She met a soulmate, a flower which is crying like her and it seems to her that they are crying together, missing prince charming. Then she comes home holding a rainy daisy. She puts it in a vase which was a favourite of her prince. It has four beautiful colours: green, blue, red and gold. She will hold on to her special, happy memories of them together. But life will never be the same. It has been divided into before and after.
