Music to my lyric with the same title. True story from my friend who didn't mind if I used it in my song.

"We'll meet again in 20 years
And we'll be laughing how sad we were
When one day we parted with tears
And I've left You for her"

That's what he said to me 20 years ago
I still remember crying so bad
That mama got fed up and said that I should know
How to make Him miss what he had

So many years ago but it still feels so raw
I can't put him out of my mind
I keep thinking it must be Murphy's law
Which made it all go wrong. Life is unkind!

It's easy though to think that way
Instead of working out what went wrong
I think I know that for him it was a play
And his feelings were not that strong

I should have known better but I didn't
Love is blind, I was and still under his spell
I need to stop it now and make my thoughts forbidden
So if we meet one day I wouldn't yell

But may be we will never meet
Perhaps it's all for ever in the past
Our love story will be incomplete
We both knew it didn't mean to last...
